PokerListings Awards 2023 – Best Software and Best Poker Innovation
It’s time for Category 5 and 6 in the prestigious PokerListings Awards 2023! Earlier this week, we elaborated on Category 3 and 4 and revealed the nominees for each category, and today we will do the same for the upcoming two categories.
Today, we’re in for a treat as we’re looking at two very intriguing categories. Category 5 is titled “Best Software” and we’ll tell you about the six operators that we think have stood out this year in terms of good poker software.
In Category 6, we’ll try to identify the best poker innovation of 2023. We’ve sure have had a lot to choose from and there are some serious contenders that are nominated for this category. Without further ado, let’s get right to it!
Category 5 – Best Software
In Category 5, we will see six different poker operators compete about the award for best software. It doesn’t matter in what extent you play online poker: a smooth poker software is crucial for you in order to enjoy your experience at the tables.
One of many aspects we’ll be looking at is a good GUI (graphical user interference). A clean design means players will have an easy time navigating the software. GGPoker exhibits a very user-friendly GUI which is one of the reasons they are on the list. Thanks to their well-structured client, it’s easy to find GGPoker tournaments.

We’re astounded by people’s ability to keep finding new ways to evolve poker. Of course, this is crucial not only for keeping the game still relevant, but also intriguing new players and making the poker community grow.
There’s been a lot of good poker innovations in 2023. When it comes to community growth, GGPoker did a great job through “Game of Gold”. This poker TV series with a reality series-like twist could possibly be the best poker TV production through all time and it has made a lot more people getting interested in poker.
Olympic Casino and Olybet made a great move and launched the world’s first ever women only poker festival – the Queens of Tallinn. Inclusiveness is very important not only in poker but in the society as a whole, and it was a great initiative to create this opportunity for women in poker.
It’s always nice when poker entities gives Mixed Games the action that it deserves. The fact that SwC Poker introduced Drawmaha Poker/Sviten Special on their site was a good move, considering it’s one of the most popular Mixed Games in Scandinavia.
