Laczkovich Wins PPC – The Festival Series Back in Town

Laczkovich Wins PPC – The Festival Series Back in Town

The Polish Poker Championship, which reached its pinnacle on November 13 will go in the history books as the biggest ever live poker tournament in Slovakia in terms of entries with a total of 5,061! Hungarian player Peter Laczkovich took down the event and turned his €125 into a stunning €71.150! The bar has been set extremely high for future events, and with The Festival Series coming up it might just be yet another record-breaking event after they scooped the record of highest-ever first prize in a live poker tournament in Slovakia last year!

Banco Casino had the Polish Poker Championship (PPC) as a guest in their casino until the 13th of November and they were absolutely flooded with poker fanatics from all across Europe, and of course Poland itself. With four starting flights left on the schedule, the guaranteed prize pool was already reached and from there onwards it would only become more massive. A total of 5,061 entries is something truly unique and unheard of in Bratislava. There were tournaments coming close to 4,000, but this? Impressive result by the players, but also a big congratulations to all the staff of Banco Casino who have been running around the entire event left, right, and centre.

Final Day Polish Poker Championship

At the official final table, there were just two Polish players remaining. Unfortunately, they had to leave the last table of the tournament quite early. The Hungarians however, Laczkovich (1st) and Matyasi (4th), managed to take more pay jumps and even win the whole event. Here are the full results:

  • Buy-in: €125

Banco Casino: Hospitality Package
Hospitality Package

Everything that comes with live poker is very demanding and straightforward. To give a couple of examples such as; travelling, spending a lot of time in the casino, not eating properly, long days, short sleeps. Take in mind that such a poker week can have a big impact on the physical and mental health.

With this being said, we strongly believe that the hospitality package of The Festival Series is something extremely valuable for poker players, especially the ones who are travelling alone or with a friend. There are plenty of sports activities scheduled and dinners to be attended, there is no better method to meet other fanatic poker players than here.

Banco Casino is known for its excellent service towards poker players, and for showing relentless effort to make every live poker festival a great place to be.

We wish everyone good luck out there!
